Tracking Items

Once you have set up the team, tracking items is easy. You can check items in and out from 3 different locations in the app, depending on what is convenient.

Each option is described in detail below.

Members Page

To do checkouts from the Members page just click on Checkouts next to the members name and enter the tag string of whatever you wish to check out. This is a convenient option if you are going to check out a bunch of items to the same team member.

From the Member/Checkout page you can also see every item the member has currently checked out and every item they checked out in the past (which is handy if you want to see what worked for them in the past). To check in any items checked out to that member, just click on the check in button for that item.

Item Page

From the Items Types page you can just click on an Items link to see all the individual items available for a given Item Type. For each item there is a "Check" option. If an item is not checked out yet, you can check out← the item. Otherwise you will an option to Check →in the item.

If you click out← you will be prompted to select a member to check it out to. You can also add any notes for the check-out if desired. To check in an item from this page just select check →in and the app will prompt you for a confirmation and any additional notes for the check-in.

Tag Page

The Tag Page is a quick and easy choice if you know the tag for a particular item that you want to check in or out or track its history. Just enter the tag string for the item and click In/Out, Edit, or History.

If you click In/Out and the item has not been checked out yet, you will be given the option to select the member doing the check out and enter any additional notes for the checkout. If the item is already checked out the app will prompt you for a confirmation to check it in and add any additional notes for the check-in.

If you click history you will see if the item is currently checked out (and to whom) and a complete history of checkouts for that item. The Edit link allows you to change the tag string or notes for that item.
